More Than Camping:
Character, Courage, and Christ-Centered Leadership
The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. At St. John Vianney, join the troop or pack to learn life skills, explore the outdoors, and go on amazing adventures. Our program covers a wide range of interests and skills, including faith, fitness, safety, and takes scouts and their families on adventures like hiking, camping, and much more! Interested? Come to a meeting to see if Scouting America is a fit for your family.

Why Volunteer with Scouting?
Volunteering with Scouting is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people from elementary through high school—at a stage when strong, caring adults matter deeply. You don’t need to be an outdoors expert or have prior scouting experience; what our scouts need most are adults willing to show up, encourage them, and model integrity, faith, and service. As a volunteer, you’ll help young people grow in confidence, learn practical life skills, and discover the joy of teamwork and leadership—often while having fun outdoors and building meaningful relationships along the way. Scouting is better when families and adults walk alongside our youth, and your presence can help shape character that lasts a lifetime. Contact
