Edge Core Team!
Amanda Wallace, Coordinator
Amanda rejuvenated the SJV Middle School Edge program in 2022. She is a mom of seven and a long time SJV parishioner. She's a lover of running, Bill Murray, and talking about Middle School.
Lucy Camacho
Lucy has been a parishioner at St. John Vianney since 2004, she enjoys serving and getting to know new people. In her free time she enjoys gardening and spending time with her family. Her goal is to help the middle school youth grow their faith. One day, she would love to visit Italy.
Samantha Galeno Camacho
A devoted member of SJV since 2005, Samantha Galeno Camacho is deeply rooted in her faith and community. Alongside her strong commitment to Catholicism, she dedicates her time to guiding youth in understanding the Catholic faith. At the same time, Samantha is pursuing a degree in Dental Hygiene at West Georgia Technical College, working toward her goal of becoming a hygienist. She blends her spiritual devotion, community involvement, and professional aspirations and enjoys guiding the youth on the right path to the Lord.
Barb Schoellen
Barb loves working with kids. She feels they need all the love and support they can get. She loves our church and thinks it’s important for the young people to know more about it.
Mary Thayer
Mary was looking to fill some ‘free time’ and was led to the Edge program! After one year, she is hooked, and can’t wait for the Edge adventures to commence again next year! Mary works at home for Home Depot. She loves to read, cook, sing and take ridiculously long walks….
Brenda Waters
Brenda is a life-long Catholic who has been a member of SJV since she moved to Georgia in 1996. Her whole life has involved volunteering within the church as an altar server, catechist, choir member, or Eucharistic minister. She believes it is truly rewarding to be able to work with the Middle School Edge Core Team and share the joy of being Catholic with the youth of our parish.
Emily Waters
A lifelong parishioner of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church since 2005, Emily is deeply rooted in her faith and community. Alongside her commitment to Catholicism, she passionately devotes her time to educating the youth about the intricacies of the Catholic faith. Concurrently, Emily is pursuing a Master's degree in Anthropology at Georgia State University, merging her academic pursuits with her spiritual and community-oriented endeavors.
Mark Wolfe
Mark Wolfe is a writer and gardener with an affinity for Georgia native plants. He joined the Edge team as a way to connect with and serve the parish community. Mark and his wife, Debbie, live in Powder Springs, with their two sons, Jacob and Luke.
