What is Confirmation?
Confirmation is the sacrament in which a baptized person receives the fullness of the Holy Spirit, strengthening them to live out their faith with courage, witness to Christ, and take an active role in the life of the Catholic Church.
In Confirmation, the Holy Spirit comes in a powerful way to deepen what began at Baptism. This sacrament strengthens our relationship with God, roots us more firmly in the Church, and sends us out to live our faith boldly in the world.
At St. John Vianney, Confirmation is typically offered to students in high school who have already received Baptism and First Holy Communion.
Participation in our Faith Formation program is an essential part of preparing for this sacrament.
Faith Formation Registration is now open—families must be registered parishioners to enroll, and all registration is completed online.
