Upcoming Studies:  Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come  AND Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom

Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come

Perhaps no book in the Bible fascinates people more than Revelation. Yet relatively few people have studied the book, especially from a Catholic perspective. Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come is an intriguing 11-session study program that shows how the kingdom established by Christ in his Church is intimately connected with the kingdom of heaven.

In Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come, presenter Jeff Cavins pulls back the veil on the rich symbolism present in Revelation. Discover what the mysterious figures and images of Revelation mean and see how Revelation is more than an apocalyptic vision of the “end times.” Explore the Church’s teaching on the second coming of Christ and the Last Judgment. Understand how God, the Divine Bridegroom, and the Church, his spotless bride, enter into a heavenly, holy, and mystical marriage every time we celebrate Mass.

This 11 session study will be offered at two different times at SJV:
Tuesday evening at 7:45pm-8:45pm and
Wednesday morning at 10am - 11am
It will also be offered as an online class - register and select ONLINE.  We will reach out to you to get you setup for the online.

Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom

Acts is the story of how a few Christians empowered by the Holy Spirit were chosen to bring Christ and the Good News to the ends of the earth. They faced secular forces, internal strife, and hostile crowds, and despite all of this, they brought the kingdom of God to a broken world and the love of God to the hearts of men.

The Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom study program traces how the Gospel witness spread outward in waves from Jerusalem and reveals how the seeds of Church structure and authority took root. Presenter Jeff Cavins shows how the joys and struggles of the early Christians in living the life of Christ apply to us today. The 20-session Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom study program will help you to see your place in the Church as a disciple of Christ.

This 20 Session Study will be offered two different times at SJV:
Wednesday evening from 7PM -8PM and
Thursday morning from 10AM -11AM
It will also be offered as an online class - register and select ONLINE.  We will reach out to you to get you setup for the online.

The class will begin on Wednesday, August 26th for the evening class and on Thursday, August 27th for the morning class.  The final class will be Wednesday, January 26th and Thursday, January 27th.  Several days will be skipped due to the Holidays.
